Fire up those smokers — the Backyard BBQ Cookoff is coming to Downtown Swainsboro during the Pine Tree Festival!
This friendly competition is open to non-professional, backyard pitmasters who love great barbecue and a little friendly rivalry. Whether you’re known for your ribs, pulled pork, chicken, or a secret family recipe, this is your chance to compete for bragging rights and cash prizes.
🥇 1st Place – $500 (Sponsored by Pinetucky Country Meats)
🥈 2nd Place – $400 (Sponsored by Vidalia Peanut Company)
🥉 3rd Place – $300 (Sponsored by Lynn & Bob's)
The Backyard BBQ Cookoff will feature three meat categories:
CHICKEN – Includes Cornish Game Hen and Kosher Chicken.
PORK RIBS – Must include the bone. Country-style ribs are prohibited.
BOSTON BUTT – Traditional pork shoulder.
