Emanuel Medical Center

Emanuel Medical Center has served the people of Emanuel County for more than 50 years. The medical center is equipped with 18 private patient rooms, 8 critical care rooms, 15 private senior behavioral health rooms, and 49 nursing home beds.

The healthcare team at EMC consists of approximately 450 employees and more than 40 physicians representing a wide range of specialties. The medical center offers a 24-hour physician-staffed emergency department, outpatient services including same day surgery and ambulatory care, a nursing home facility, a Senior Behavioral Health Unit, critical care unit and an imaging department including nuclear medicine, MRI, CT, and scans.

Emanuel Medical Center is a Five Star Hospital, as rated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, being 1 of 3 in Georgia and 1 of 407 hospitals out of 4500 hospitals nationwide.

East Georgia Healthcare Center

East Georgia Healthcare Center is a non-profit, community-owned medical facility that began in Swainsboro in 1993 with four employees. Since that time, EGHC has grown to 11 clinics and two mobile units serving 13 counties including Emanuel, Bulloch Treutlen, Toombs, Tattnall, Jenkins, Candler, Appling, Wayne, Montgomery, Jenkins, Jefferson, and Evans Counties.

 

EGHC’s services include adult and family medicine, pediatrics, behavioral health, family planning, dental health, chiropractic care, and pharmacy services.
