Swainsboro Police Department “Treasure Hunt for Kids”

The Swainsboro Police Deparment will host it’s 1st Annual “Treasure Hunt for Kids” July 1 thru July 31.

In an effort to strengthen relations with area youth, the Swainsboro Police Department continues to sponsor programs to form a bond with law enforcement and the citizens we serve. This Treasure Hunt program will join other programs that the Swainsboro Police Department has sponsored such as “Shop With A Cop”, to build positive interactions with the youth of our community.

The program will consist of 25 painted stones containing the acronym SPD on one side and each officer’s badge number on the other. Each stone will be hidden by these officers throughout the City of Swainsboro.

This Treasure Hunt is offered for children ages 5 thru 12. Clues to find the stones will be posted periodically on the Swainsboro Police Department Facebook page. These clues will hopefully assist children in locating these various stones carefully hidden by the officers.

Once a stone is located, there will be instructions on it to bring to the Swainsboro Police Department for the lucky child to receive a prize for their efforts. Prizes can be redeemed Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Swainsboro Police Department Headquarters. Once all of the stones are located, a list of the winners will be placed in a drawing for a grand prize.

Clues will be given beginning July 2, 2019, so be sure to check the Swainsboro Police Department Facebook page.
