Trash Collection
All City residents are required to have trash pickup services through the City of Swainsboro. Poly Carts are acquired for a one time fee of 13.60 each. Trash services are rendered by Sullivan Environmental on a weekly basis depending on which street a house or business is located on. Dumpsters can also be acquired by Sullivan Environmental depending on the size dumpster you require. For more information on Trash Collection please contact City Hall at (478) 237-7025.
County Landfill and Transfer Station
The County Landfill and Transfer Station serves the people of Emanuel County by offering a convenient location to drop off waste, trash, and discarded items. The Emanuel County is located in Lexsy on Highway 297. The Landfill accepts house hold garbage from the community free of charge. Items such as demolition waste are charged by the tonnage with each ton costing $38.80. The County Landfill and Transfer Station’s hours of operation are 7am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday and 8am-12pm on Saturday. Water and Sewer Services
Water and Sewer Services can be established at City Hall at 101 West Main Street. Water accounts can be set up with a refundable deposit of $100, a rent receipt/lease agreement or proof of ownership, and a photo ID and valid SS #. Water bills are sent out at the beginning of each month and must be paid by the 25th day of each month. The bill includes Trash Pick-Up, Yard Waste Pick-Up, Water and Sewer Services.

Bulk Item Collection
If you would like to request a pick-up service for bulk items from your house or business please contact City Hall at (478) 237-7025. Bulk item collection is typically done on Fridays.
