Veterans Memorial Wall at Pine Brook Park

The unveiling of the Veterans Memorial Wall will be held Monday, November 11, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Pine Brook Park in Swainsboro.

The Swainsboro Sons of the American Legion Squadron #103 is erecting a memorial wall to honor all of the fallen soldiers who were killed in action. The wall will consist of four granite markets listing all of the United States’ wars. Each fallen soldier’s name will be lister under the war in which he or she fought. The wall will list all of the soldiers from Emanuel County since its chartering. A center marker will be placed listing the major sponsors of the project.

The SAL Squadron #103 would also like to include all veterans by honoring them with installed pavers. The pavers will be installed around the American Flag that will fly in the center of the display.

Lest we never forget the sacrifice our veterans have made for this county. The freedom we have today is because of all the unselfish service our veterans have given.

All donations and contributions for the Veterans Memorial Wall or to purchase pavers are tax deductible.
