Zoning Commission
Swainsboro’s Planning and Zoning Commission is a local appointed government board charged with recommending to the City Council the boundaries of the various original zoning district, appropriate regulations to be enforced therein and recommends proposed amendments regarding city planning and zoning. Façade Easement
The Downtown Development Authority of Swainsboro provides funds to be invested in the C6-D District and used to rehabilitate eligible facades (Projects) to approved Standards and within Program guidelines. There is no repayment component, however a grantees are required to match easement funds with a 50% cash match, apply for funds, and abide by program guidelines and standards.
